The CineStory Retreat is scheduled for mid October, 2008. Dates to be confirmed by June 1.

CINESTORY EXTENDS THEIR DEADLINE

There are hundreds of screenwriting contests but only CineStory offers all
semi-finalists and finalists a chance to attend its prestigious writer’s
retreat in the mountains of Idyllwild, California. Each attendee gets four
one-on-one mentor meetings, as well as participating in numerous panels and
group discussions on topics such as: pitching, finding representation, new
media markets and story concepts that work.

In addition, the winner is awarded $2000 and a year-long mentorship with an
industry pro.

CineStory mentors are all working screenwriters, managers, agents and
producers. Past competition winners include Academy Award nominated Mark
Fergus & Hawk Ostby (‘Children of Men’) and writer/director Greg Marcks
(‘11:14’ starring Hilary Swank and Ben Foster).

CONTEST DEADLINE EXTENSION

Because CineStory is working on a new partnership with Final Draft and its own Big Break Contest, as well as joining the Without A Box worldwide network, the CineStory Screenwriting Awards late entry deadline will be extended into February. Now you have at least a month more to get your script prepared for entry into the 13th annual CineStory Screenwriting Awards.
